Speciality Chemicals

Industrial, urban and mixed effluents require pre-treatment prior to returning to the environment. TL Technology's range of organic and inorganic chemistries will guarantee that the treated water complies to the environmental requirements.

Specialty Chemicals

Flocculants

TL Technology's range of water soluble organic (anionic, cationic and non ionic) polymers enhance the liquid solid separation in potable and remedial waters. Complaint to NSF and BgVV regulations the treated water will benefit from low turbidity, low solids in suspension and higher rates of filtration. Our products also achieve excellent rates of mud dehydration. A qualified member of our team will help assist selecting the best choice of flocculant from a range of powders, emulsion and solutions based on your process and requirements.

Coagulants

Our team of process engineers will assist selecting the best product and dosage for your process from a selection of organic polymers and/or inorganic coagulants. Compliant to NSF, BgVV our products enhance water clarification processes, remove colours such as dyes and tannins and are effective de-emulsifying agents

Anti-foams

Starches, proteins, detergents and bacteria can affect your remedial water generating high levels of foam which will then affect your flotation, clarification and/or biological processes.
Working in conjunction with your process engineers, one of our members will assist selecting the best dosage, dosage point and chemistry from our range of mineral oil, silicon emulsions, poly esters or fatty alcohols to eliminate the foam problems at your site.

Dispersants

During the heating and cooling process, minerals found in the water tend to precipitate building a layer on pipes and surfaces reducing the capacity of the plant and the cooling and/or heating capabilities of the process. In process water, these minerals interact with process additives increasing consumption of the process additive.
TL Technology's range of dispersants (Disperse) react with the minerals neutralising the charges and inhibiting the crystal formations

Biocides

Our low toxicity FDA approved biocides are effective controlling algae and moulds in process waters.

Bio-technology

Eliminate bad odours, reduce COD and BOD counts in your effluent. Comply to ISO 14,000 with our range of enzymes and bacteria.

Equipment

TL Technology's team of engineers will recommend and supply the required equipment needed in your process.

Process Equipment

DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation)

Dissolved air flotation units as stand alone units or as a full containerised system. Designed to treat remedial waters which are heavily loaded with suspended solids. For remedial waters heavy in oils and fats we offer DAF systems with no lamella plates to avoid fouling.

Flocculant Preparation Systems

Triple chamber continuous flow system used for the preparation of polymer solutions. Processing of liquid and powder polymers (0.05 - 0.5%) solutions. Optional PLC programmable controller module. Storage tank capacity of 400, 1000, 2000, 4000, 6000 and 8000 lts.

Disc Screw Press

Sludge either from biological tanks, clarifiers, DAF is pumped too the system where one of our organic polymers is dosed. Polymer and sludge are mixed separating the contaminants from the liquid. The solids are then compressed by moving discs on a screw separating the liquid from the solids further more. The dewatered solids are removed and the liquid returns to the effluent.

Internally fed Rotary Screens

Process or feed water are fed to the meshed drum (perforated plate drum). The particles are retained by the mesh while the water passes through the perforated plate as the drum rotates. The solids are slowly pushed down the inclined drum and out of the system while the filtered liquid continues to the process and/or effluent.

Static Rund Down Screen

Static and vibrations run down screens supplied in stainless steel. As the juice/liquor passes through the screens mesh stay in the surface, and as this accumulating mass increases in weight/volume, gently slides down the screen surface. The static screen versions has it screen rigidly fixed in position whereas the vibrating, more efficient unit, has it mounted to enable a small motor to vibrate it.
